The Beginning . . . 1978

After graduating from high school, I was drafted into the Army in 1968 and ended up serving a two-year tour in Germany. Pulling guard duty on those cold, freezing nights motivated me to pursue a college education after completing my military service. I attended Sam Houston State University for four years and graduated with a BA in photography in 1974. My plan at the time was to become a professional photographer, but life circumstances led me to become a camera repairman instead. I started repairing film cameras in 1978 and have been doing so for over 40 years.
